A harmonious value proposition is achieved as a result of the business alliance between the two market leaders in their respective fields, Unilin for MFC and Formica Group for HPL.
The new designs add further stylish choices to the collection responding to current and anticipated trends in the market. The range offers a vast selection of plain colours from zesty brights and neutrals along with elegant woodgrains and modern metallic influenced patterns. Ideal for retail designers, shop fitters and the commercial furniture sector, these materials can be used in a wide range of applications, combining the same décor in two types of surface materials, depending on the performance requirements. The innovative new texture, Linewood, mimics wire brushed soft woods and has a distinctive deep texture that works perfectly as both a straight grain wood effect and on a plain colour. The alternating gloss and matt finish is visually pleasing and its tactile surface gives a natural feel with velvet smoothness.
Linewood is available in four stylish wood grains in a contemporary natural to grey colour palette: the limed Hudson Oak, the amazingly realistic three-dimensional looking Ottawa and Rena Pines and the smart Amazonia. The full elegance of Linewood is unfolded on plain colours: on white, black and Otter a trendy mid-grey where the depth and beauty of the matt-gloss visual is shown to its fullest effect. The economical sheet sizes of 3050x1300mm (HPL) and 2800x2070mm (MFC) meets the needs of a variety of end-use applications. The 80 designs are available in MFC and horizontal postforming grade HPL, and are further supported by a choice of edging tapes. A wide variety of substrates and sizes is also available on a made-to-order basis, including moisture-resistant boards, flame-retardant boards and Melamine Faced MDF. Matching NCS codes aid the selection process, and a multitude of colour combinations allow these surfacing materials to work in perfect harmony in any interior scheme.
