Exciting new laminates to be unveiled by Formica Corporation at 100% design, Stand E90
At 100% Design this year Formica Corporation, the market leader and only manufacturer of high pressure laminate in the world, will be unveiling over 90 exciting new additions to its highly successful specification range: 'The Collection'.
Including new plain colours, patterns, woodgrains and sophisticated cutting-edge textures and surface finishes, these additions mark the next stage in the development of 'The Collection'. Texture and optical effects will give additional value to plain colours and create a sense of depth and luxury, stirring and soothing the senses. Wood will make a comeback, with the look and feel taking precedence, and new modern patterns will be accompanied by some familiar classics.

The Formica Corporation stand (E90) will showcase these new additions in an eye-catching and vibrant way, which draws inspiration from colourful gardens that excite the senses. The stand has been designed by Newcastle-based young designer David Nicklin of Boojee Furniture.

"The concept behind 'The Collection' was to produce a range that would be flexible and current. These additions are the first of what will be regular updates, ensuring the range is constantly evolving and complements current design and style trends," comments Paul Niklas, UK Managing Director, Formica Limited.
"Formica Limited foresees the next 12 months as an interesting period in interior design, with the increased merging of styles and concepts. The variety of effects that different surfaces can create is being realised, and with texture and colour becoming increasingly important dramatic style statements are likely to increase."

In addition, the 2006 Formica Design a Laminate competition will also be launched at the show. This popular competition, now in its third year, is open to anyone with great ideas for new surface designs. To find out more, go to www.designalaminate.com.
